Manifesta 15's Education and Mediation department initiated a platform for professional exchange among municipal professionals in culture, education and social affairs across Barcelona’s metropolitan region. This initiative aims to foster collaboration among municipalities and institutions, both during the biennial and in the long run, by facilitating knowledge exchange and self-training among peers. Starting from its first session in September 2023, the group gathers monthly at various cultural venues in participating cities.

These sessions, collaboratively shaped by participants, focus on collective discussion regarding cultural participation and inclusion within their specific contexts. As Manifesta 15 approaches, the group seizes the chance to incorporate these reflections into the development of education and mediation activities for the Manifesta 15+ programme. The Territorial Working Group is constituted as a space that, beyond the practical aspects, promotes a joint reflection of the proposals it addresses and contributes creatively to the relevance of design and its implementation.
