Mediated Tours
Through attentive listening, mediators engage in an open dialogue with the visitors, acknowledging their interests, authentic experiences and backgrounds. It is a collective encounter that opposes the common idea of transferring “objective” knowledge or opinion from a more informed guide to a less informed audience.
Through Mediated Tours to the Three Chimneys (Sant Adrià de Besòs), Casa Gomis (El Prat de Llobregat), Monastery of Sant Cugat and the former Gustavo Gili publishing house (Barcelona), the mediation programme proposes to approach the three conceptual and geographical clusters that make up the map of Manifesta 15 Barcelona Metropolitana: Balancing Conflicts, Cure and Care and Imagining Futures.
The tour costs €100 per group. Maximum 16 people per tour.
Please note that to join Manifesta 15 Mediated Tours all the attendees need to have a valid Manifesta 15 ticket.
Through attentive listening, mediators engage in an open dialogue with the students, acknowledging their interests, authentic experiences and backgrounds. It is a collective encounter where we all learn from each other. The tours and workshops are designed by a diverse team of Manifesta 15 mediators that engage students in a debate, collective imagination, action and creation.
For primary and secondary schools, Manifesta 15 offers free tailor-made mediated tours at the Three Chimneys (Sant Adrià del Besós). Secondary schools are also invited to join a workshop at the former Gustavo Gili publishing house (Barcelona).
Please note that all free school tours at the Three Chimneys are now fully booked, and we are no longer accepting new requests for this venue.
The Manifesta 15 ticket includes access to Open Tours. There are twelve Open Tours per week scheduled at our four main venues. The tours are offered in Catalan, Spanish and English.
Prior registration is required via this link.
