Manifesta 15Barcelona Metropolitana08.09 — 24.11.2024

Preview Days Programme

Fom Friday the 6th until Sunday the 8th of September 2024, we are delighted to welcome you to Manifesta 15 Barcelona Metropolitana’s Official Preview Days.

Below, you can find a full programme for the preview days, along with useful information for your visit.

A call to action for eco-social transformation, this “decentralised” edition of Manifesta has the largest geographical scope in the biennial’s history, unfolding across 16 remarkable venues that channel the past, present and future of Barcelona and 11 cities in the metropolitan region: Badalona, Cornellà de Llobregat, El Prat de Llobregat, Granollers, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Mataró, Sabadell, Sant Adrià de Besòs, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Sant Cugat del Vallès and Terrassa. Manifesta 15 is organised in three clusters, which are both thematic and geographic: Balancing Conflicts (Llobregat Delta), Cure and Care (Collserola massif towards Vallès) and Imagining Futures (Besòs River and its surroundings). During the Manifesta 15 Preview Days, we invite you to explore these clusters, their venues and most notably the multidisciplinary work of over 90 participants that engage with and reimagine how we can relate to one another and the natural resources in our midst.

Platja del Coco (Badalona)

Please note that the installation of Félix Blume at the Platja de Coco will not be accessible during the Preview Days of Manifesta 15. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Casa Gomis accessibility

Due to the high influx of private cars visiting the beaches of El Prat de Llobregat on weekends, it is possible that during certain time slots on the 7th and 8th of September, the roads accessing Casa Gomis and the nearest parking areas may be closed. In light of this possible situation, we recommend parking your private vehicles in the following parking areas:

• Bunyola Rest Area
• Cemetery / Funeral Home Parking Area

From these areas, you can reach Casa Gomis by either taking public buses (PR3 and PR5) or by walking for 40 minutes. If you arrive by taxi, show your Manfiesta 15 accreditations at the checkpoints, and the taxi will be allowed to proceed to drop off passengers near the house.

Weather

Currently, we anticipate a week of heat in Catalonia. At the beginning of September, the average temperature is 26ºC maximum and 21ºC minimum. Light rain and a gentlebreeze are expected on Friday the 6th of September.

Useful Information

Due to the nature of some of the sites of Manifesta 15 venues, we recommend wearing comfortable footwear to ensure a pleasant experience.

Furthermore, as with any bustling metropolitan area, please remain vigilant of your belongings to prevent any potential loss or theft.
