Manifesta 15 Barcelona Metropolitana invites you to explore our extensive programme spanning Barcelona and the 11 surrounding cities in the Metropolitan region. Navigating between venues across these diverse locations can be challenging in a bustling city like Barcelona. Below, we explain the easiest and most sustainable ways to get around and experience the Biennial.

How to move around Manifesta 15 Barcelona Metropolitana

Manifesta 15 is spread across 12 cities and 16 venues in the metropolitan region of Barcelona. Therefore, it is important to plan your trip in advance, including transportation between different venues and returning to your accommodation. Manifesta 15 recommends using Google Maps (find the venues and their addresses on Google Maps below) when planning your trip. The venues are easily accessible by public transport from Barcelona, as well as by car or bicycle. Below, we briefly explain how to best book your mode of transportation.

Public Transport

The public transport system is divided into zones, and the ticket price depends on the city you visit. There are multi-trip transport cards valid for the entire network. You will find ticket vending machines at most metro and train stations.

  • Cities in Zone 1: Badalona, Barcelona, Cornellà de Llobregat, El Prat de Llobregat, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Sant Adrià de Besòs, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Sant Cugat del Vallès.
  • City in Zone 2: Sabadell.
  • Cities in Zone 3: Mataró, Granollers, Terrassa.

Renfe is Manifesta 15's Official Cultural Train Partner, connecting cities such as Barcelona to Badalona and Granollers. Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) is a regional train service connecting cities like Barcelona to Sant Cugat, Terrassa, and Sabadell.

Tram services connect cities such as Barcelona to The Three Chimneys of Sant Adrià de Besòs. Bus services provide direct connections, for example, from Barcelona to Mataró (Moventis) or from Mataró to Granollers.
