The Manifesta 15 Mobile Venue is located in Plaça de Pompeu Fabra to offer a week-long schedule of activities, meetings and gatherings aimed at disseminating the artistic programme of the biennial and activating intergenerational local programmes. This event, open to everyone, marks the start of the Focus Week in Badalona, produced in partnership with Ajuntament de Badalona, one of the participating municipalities of Manifesta 15 Barcelona Metropolitana.
To welcome Focus Week in Badalona, three artistic performances will take place. The first one, The Presence, is an interactive itinerant show that will start at Plaça de la Vila and lead the audience to Plaça Pompeu Fabra, with the aim of reimagining the streets by restoring the natural order from before the asphalt and the haste with which we travel them today. Next is Cubiart. The Art of Transformation, by Toni Ortiz company, who will paint live accompanied by a piano, symbolising the transformation and change in perspective that Manifesta 15 seeks to provoke in public spaces and in society. Finally, the Sílvia Pallissera Ballet will perform a segment from the contemporary ballet show The Sea Calls Us, which aims to raise awareness about human behaviour and its effects on the sea.
To conclude, there will be the opening of the exhibition Imaginant el futur, by TallerBdn artists, a space for promoting sculpture, local art, and culture through support for emerging artists and artistic residency programmes.
